In the second game of the night after playing Oberlin, the DeQuincy Lady Tigers played a very tough Montgomery team that is usually in the state tournament most years. However DeQuincy was up for the challenge and took full advantage of the opportunity as both teams would trade scores for a few innings.
But the Lady Tigers’ bats would explode producing 14 hits on the night including a three run bomb off the bat of Addli Scott which is her second home run of the early season and what ultimately led to a run rule victory over a very good Montgomery team!
Audi Flower was 2-5 with 3 RBIs, Maddie Vinatieri was 2-3 with an RBI, Emily Cooley was 2-3, Aubree Royer was 3-3 with 2 RBIs, Addli Scott was 2-4 with 4 RBIs, Kayden Whotte was 1-3 with an RBI, and Onnie Remedies was 2-3 with an RBI.
Maddie Vinatieri went the distance striking out five batters!
DeQuincy 14, Montgomery 4
