DeQuincy Police Chief AnnaJo Haynes has just recently graduated from the State’s new chief school. held in Baton Rouge June 9-13. Those in attendance were the newly elected/appointed chiefs of police throughout the state.
The new chief’s course was designed to assist the new chiefs in various subjects to include the role of a new chief, Chief/Mayor relationships, Peace Officers Standards and Training (POST), the police retirement system, Risk Management, Intelligence about Sovereign citizens, Diversity in the various communities, media relationships, Use of force, and Critical Incidents and Response.
Chief Haynes briefed the mayor on the course and related that it was very informative with a lot of need-to-know information. The course, including the hotel expenses and food, was paid for by the state. The DQPD congratulates Chief Haynes on her graduating from the course.
