Former DeQuincy Tiger Reese Ashworth and former South Beauregard Golden Knight Bryce Deason played in last week’s season opener for the Lake Charles Gumbeaux Gators.
Deason had two at bats and Ashworth closed on the mound in the 9th inning to help secure a 9-5 victory over their rival the Acadiana Cane Cutters from Lafayette.
Ashworth and Deason will be playing with the team all summer long and into August so please go support these young men!
The Gumbeaux Gators play their home games at McNeese State University’s Joe Miller Ballpark.
