The 2025 Honesty and Integrity Awards were presented by the DeQuincy Masonic Lodge #279 on Thursday, May 29.
The Honesty and Integrity Awards program, a unique initiative in Louisiana, was established during a Grand Lodge session of Master Masons in Lake Charles in 1977. For nearly five decades, the DeQuincy Masonic Lodge has been actively participating in this esteemed program. The primary objective of this award is to recognize and acknowledge high school students who possess the exceptional qualities that make them potential future leaders and role models.
Eligibility for the award is strictly limited to high school students in their junior year. The selection process involves a comprehensive evaluation, involving interviews with school administrators, teachers, preachers, parents, and other community members. Once selected, the students are invited to a banquet where a meal is provided to them and their guests. They are given a Certificate of Honesty and a Key of Integrity. The 2025 Recipients were: Hayden Hall, Brock Emigh, Adison Hollingsworth, Allie Christerson, Julee Klingonsmith, Paislee Hamilton.
DeQuincy Masonic Lodge also awarded two $1000 scholarships to Haven Foster and Zachary Haley.
