Baseball honors announced

Brister & Deville were in LBCA All-Star game

South Beauregard baseball player Luke Brister and head baseball coach Jeremy Deville were selected to play and coach in the Louisiana Baseball Coaches Association (LBCA) All-Star games this past weekend at Louisiana Christian University in Pineville.

Brister and Deville were on the West team which consisted of players and coaches the Lake Charles, Lafayette, Alexandria, and Shreveport area’s.

Game one was payed on Friday with the East winning 3-1 over the West.

Game two was on Saturday and this time the West defeated the East by a final score of 4-3.

Other Southwest Louisiana standouts that competed in the All-Star game were Jarius Miller of Barbe, Cole Flanagan of Sam Houston, Conor Walker of Sam Houston, Slade Shove-Knox of Sulphur, Dayton Hicks of Sulphur, Jackson Beddoe of Sulphur, Kash Martin of Westlake, Dane Iguess of Welsh, and Parker Alexander of Hornbeck.

Starks Softball All-State honors

Four Starks Lady Panthers have earned a spot on the Louisiana Softball Coaches Association (LSCA) Class C All-State team.

They are as follows:

Pitcher Madelyn Nolen, Outfielder Sadie Barrow, Utility player Kynzie Smith, and Utility player Tayla Holloway.
