Douglas “Douggie” Dupre was born Sep. 17, 1978, and passed away Friday, Apr. 25, 2025, at the age of 46.
Those left to honor his memory are his children, Travis Pettypool and Lilly Trahan; mother, Connie Pettypool; sisters, April Wheeler (Justin), and Pamela Muth (Timothy); grandmother, Bernice Dupre; sisters-in-law, Belinda Sargent (Larry), Kimberly Sample (Ken), and Amber Trahan; and brother-in-law, Jonathan Trahan; nieces and nephews, Amaya Dupre, Christian Payne, Nelson Thibodeaux, Jakk Greer, Ava Greer, Elizabeth Goings (Dylan), Ryan Courmier, Brittany Watkins, Michael Watkins, Charles Watkins, Makenna Sample, Zoey Sample, Madison Trahan, Melanie Trahan; great nieces, Emmalee Dean, Addilyn Lancaster, Aaliyah Watkins, and Bryleigh Bellon; great nephews, Ethan Deville, Elliott Goings, Elston Goings, Nicholas Watkins, Rayden Watkins, Andrew Dean, Michael Watkins Jr., Braxton Watkins, Jayme Mier, and Layton Bellon.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 20 years, Jennifer Trahan Dupre; grandfather, Tanja Dupre; and in-laws, Eugene and Emma Trahan; and brother-in-law, Gerald Courmier.
The family received friends from 5-8 p.m., Saturday, Apr. 26, and continued from 1 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Apr. 27, at First Baptist Church in Starks. Pastor Ron Butler officiated. Interment followed at Miller Annex in Starks.
Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
