Lady Tigers fall to Iowa

On Monday, Apr. 14, the DeQuincy Lady Tigers traveled to Iowa to take on the Iowa Lady Jackets in their final game of the regular season.

DeQuincy kept the game very close with Iowa until the 5th inning when the Lady Jackets would capitalize on a couple of DeQuincy errors in which was the deciding factor in the game.

Olivia Oden was 1-3, Onnie Remedies was 1-3, Kayden Whotte was 1-3 with 2 RBIs, and Audi Flower was 3-3 with an RBI.

Lady Tigers roar past Lakeview in the first round

On Thursday, Apr. 17, the DeQuincy Lady Tigers went into the Division IV Non-Select playoffs as the #9 seed and hosted the #24 seed Lakeview Lady Gators.

Lakeview got on the board first scoring two runs. But after that the Lady Tigers would pile the runs on and didn’t stop as they would score 12 in the first inning alone, followed by 8 more in the second inning which resulted in the game ending in the 3rd inning by 15 run rule in favor of DeQuincy.

Emily Cooley was 1-1 with 2 RBIs, Bryah LeDay was 1-2 with an RBI, Olivia Oden was 1-1 with 3 RBIs, Aubree Royer was 1-2, and Sandra Dietz was 1-1 with an RBI.

The Lady Tigers will now travel to Grand Lake on Tuesday, Apr. 22, with a trip to the quarterfinals on the line.

Lady K’s roll over Ville Platte

On Thursday, Apr. 17, the South Beauregard Lady K’s hosted the Ville Platte Lady Bulldogs in the first round of the Division III Non-Select playoffs.

The Lady K’s collected 15 hits on their way to a 13-1 run rule victory in 5 innings.

No other statistics are available at this time.

The Lady K’s will now travel north to take on the Many Lady Tigers on Tuesday, Apr. 22, at 6 p.m.

South Beau is ranked #10 while Many is ranked #7.

Merryville cruises past Vinton

On Thursday, Apr. 17, the Merryville Lady Panthers hosted the Vinton Lady Lions in the first round of the Division IV Non-Select playoffs.

The Lady Panthers would score 8 runs in the first inning which would allow them to cruise to a comfortable 14-4 run rule victory.

No other statistics are available at this time.

The #12 Merryville Lady Panthers will now travel to the #5 Oakdale Lady Warriors on Tuesday, Apr. 22, at 5:30 p.m.

Starks played Georgetown Tuesday

The Starks Lady Panthers hosted the Georgetown Lady Bulldogs tonight Tuesday, Apr. 22, in the second round of the Class C playoffs.

First pitch was set for 5:30 p.m. in Starks.

If the Lady Panthers win this game then they will play the winner of Northside Christian and Hornbeck in the quarterfinals.
