DeQuincy run ruled Starks
On Monday, Mar. 24, the DeQuincy Lady Tigers took the short drive down Highway 12 to take on the Starks Lady Panthers in non district action.
Starks would get on the board first in the bottom of the first inning when Kynzlie Smith hit a two RBI single to make it 2-0 Lady Panthers. The Lady Tigers would quickly respond with 3 runs of their own.
DeQuincy would continue to score in each inning as Starks never had an answer in which the game ultimately ended in the 5th inning by 10 run rule.
Batting for DeQuincy: Emily Cooley was 3-5 with an RBI, Audi Flower was 2-3 with an RBI, Onnie Remedies was 1-4, Maddie Vinatieri was 2-4 with 2 RBIs, Bryah LeDay was 2-2, Bella Moore was 3-4 with an RBI, Addli Scott was 2-3 with 3 RBIs, and Olivia Oden was 2-4 with 3 RBI’s.
Batting for Starks: Taylor Holloway was 2-2, Madeline Nolen was 1-2, Kynzlie Smith was 1-2 with 2 RBIs, and Kynzlie Stinson was 1-2.
Pitching for DeQuincy: Maddie Vinatieri went 5 innings and recorded 4 strikeouts.
Pitching for Starks: Madeline Nolen went 5 innings and recorded 3 strikeouts.

Lady Tigers shut out East Beau
On Thursday, Mar. 27, the DeQuincy Lady Tigers hosted the East Beauregard Lady Trojans in District 4-2A action.
The Lady Tigers bats were on fire as they would collect 7 hits. The defense was also excellent as Maddie Vinatieri shut down the East Beau batters with 13 strikeouts and only allowing one hit with the help of her teammates playing jam up defense.
Emily Cooley was 1-4, Maddie Vinatieri was 2-4 with 3 RBIs, Bryah LeDay was 1-3 with an RBI, Olivia Oden was 2-4 with an RBI, and Addli Scott was 1-3 with an RBI.
