ORDINANCE NO. 987
THE CITY Council of the City of DeQuincy, State of Louisiana, met in regular session on the 10th day of March, 2025 and adopted the following Ordinance as an amendment Chapter 18, Article 1, Section 18-9, of the Code of Ordinances to adopt policy for use of public facilities and grounds and will be effective immediately.
THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of DeQuincy, in regular session convened, to adopt policy for use of public facilities and grounds.
Where as the City of DeQuincy shall require a facility/ grounds rental agreement for any individual, profit and non-profit organization, prior to any public or private event. The city must approve of the date and manner of such an event and no public event shall be held four weeks prior to the second weekend in April. Any public event used for profit shall be subject to a rental fee. All fees for rental facilities/grounds shall be paid to The City of DeQuincy and used for the operation and maintenance of such facilities. This shall not apply to public use parks. No alcoholic beverages are to be sold or consumed on the facility/ grounds owned by the City of DeQuincy.
Said Ordinance having been introduced on the 10th day of February, 2025, notice of Public Hearing having been ?I certify that the above and foregoing constitutes a true and correct copy of an Ordinance duly adopted at a meeting of the City Council of the City of DeQuincy, approved and received from the mayor at 6:00 pm on 10th day of March, 2025, at which meeting a quorum was present and voted in favor of said Ordinance.
