THE BOARD of Commissioners of the Housing Authority of the City of DeQuincy, La. met in regular session on January 27, 2025 for the following purpose:
Chairman, Jerry McCaig called the meeting to order and upon roll call, those present and absent were as follows:
Present: Jerry McCaig, Lynne Treme, Tracey Brown, Diana DeLoach, Amber Landry, Shirley Bagwell, Brooke Burge
Absent: None
A quorum present, the following business was transacted. The minutes from December 10, 2024 were reviewed. Tracey Brown made a motion to approve the minutes and Amber Landry seconded. All approved. Motion carried.
The financial report for November 2024 was presented and discussed. Lynne Treme made a motion to approve the financial report as presented and Amber Landry seconded the motion. All approved. Motion carried.
We had 11 units with busted water pipes and 4 units with damages to utility rooms from the January 2025 winter freeze. They were on Newport Plaza and Acme Dr. Maintenance is making repairs with help from Barber Construction crew.
Request for proposal on installation of security cameras was sent to 4 vendors. We received 3 proposals back from Interface Security, Acadian Total Security, and Sylvan Special Systems, Inc. After much discussion, Lynne Treme made a motion to accept the proposal from Acadian total Security because they offer a maintenance contract which will also include servicing our existing system. Diana DeLoach seconded the motion. All approved. Motion carried. Res # 1027
The vacancy report was presented by Brooke Burge.
There being no further business to come before the board, the Chairman thereupon declared the meeting adjourned.
