The Merryville Panthers season came to a close last Thursday at home as they fell to district foe Elton 45-6 which eliminated the Panthers from playoff contention.
Elton’s potent running attack from Tristan LeBlanc and Makelin Lemoine overwhelmed the Panthers defense.
Merryville’s offense also had a hard time finding the endzone as Elton’s defense was absolutely smothering for all four quarters.
Merryville finished the 2024 season with a 3-7 overall record but were winless in District 4-1A play.
Hopefully the Panthers can have a strong offseason and perhaps turn some heads next season.
