The DeQuincy City Council met on Monday, July 9.
Mayor Riley Smith welcomed newly appointed city attorney Mark Judson.
Public works report for the month of June told of work/repairs to area streets, sewer, and gas department.
The fire department had nine working calls, varying from structure fires, flooding, investigations, medical assists and assisting Ward 6. Training was done for four nights.
The DeQuincy Police reported total citations written of $33,672 and fines/bonds collected were $24,416.88. There were 216 complaints with 16 arrests and 89 tickets.
