New Intoxilyzer will assist DQPD enforce drunk driving violations

By Major Jerry Bell, Public Affairs Officer

A CMI INC Portable Intoxilyzer was donated to the DeQuincy Police Dept. by the United States Deputy Sheriff’s Association. This new portable Intoxilyzer, valued at approximately $800, will assist the DQPD Officers with enforcing Drunk Driving violations.

Each year the United States Deputy Sheriff’s Association provides equipment to the smaller agencies. Last year the DQPD received safety vests and flashlights. Captain Bader contacted this organization and through his efforts the DQPD received the Intoxilyzer.

Chief Annajo Haynes and all the officers of the DQPD thank the United States Deputy Sheriff’s Association for this valuable gift.
