Richard Luck was born June 27, 1948, and passed away Sunday, Mar. 24, 2024, at the age of 75. He loved going to church at Faith Tabernacle. He also enjoyed being outdoors and doing yard work. Richard proudly served in the United States Army from 1967 to 1972. He received decoration medals for Combat Service, Purple Heart, and Vietnam Service.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Mary Lou Luck; daughter, Molly Cortez; grandchildren, Jackie Elizabeth King Cortez and Xime Cortez; sister, Kathy King; brother, Cecil Clark Jr. and wife Kay; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Herman Luck; and mother, JoNell Luck.
The family received friends 5-7 p.m. The funeral service began at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Mar. 27, at Faith Tabernacle of Tomball, Texas. A graveside service was held 1:30 p.m. Monday, Apr. 1, at Houston National Cemetery, Houston, Texas.
Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
