June Maureen Thompson Crossno, 80, of Merryville died Saturday, Mar. 23, 2024.
She was born in San Antonio, Texas. She graduated from Merryville High School and after attending McNeese State University, she went to work as a lab and x-ray technician for Dr. Brown’s Family Clinic for twenty years and also as a lab technician for Dr. Carter for ten years. She was active in the Merryville Historical Society and the Merryville High School alumni association. She founded the Legion of Mary at St. Bridget Catholic Church and was a Eucharistic minister for Merryville’s sick and shut ins.
Survivors are her daughter, Angela Cryer and Jody of Merryville; two grandchildren; two great grandchildren; sisters, Billye Pizzolatto of NC, Martha Sigler of Newton, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Doris Thompson; sister, Cheryl Drake.
Funeral service was held Wednesday, Mar. 27, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in DeRidder. Father V. Wayne LeBleu officiated
