Tigers win one, lose one on week

Errors doom Tigers vs Welsh

It’s hard to win a ball game when having errors. Unfortunately that’s what happened to the Tigers last Tuesday at home against Welsh as the Greyhounds took advantage of the Tigers’ mistakes and won the game 4-1. DeQuincy hung tough but the errors and a couple of questionable calls decided the Tigers’ fate for the day.

Carson Rainwater was electric on the mound only giving up 1 run and recording a season high 10 strikeouts.

Rainwater also led the hitting going 2-3, Nolan Schrader went 1-4 with an RBI, Andrew Dowden went 1-3, Turner Rodriguez went 1-3, and Reese Duhon went 1-3.

Total Team Win!

To say the Tigers took the loss against Welsh personal would be an understatement as DeQuincy played motivated and determined on the road last Wednesday night at Oberlin.

The Tigers manufactured 9 hits that scored 11 runs in a 5 inning run rule affair.

Nolan Schrader was fantastic on the mound only giving up 1 hit and recording 6 strikeouts, Lannin Duraso closed not giving up a hit and recording 2 strikeouts.

Nolan Schrader went 2-4, Turner Rodriguez went 2-4 with 2 RBIs, Diron Valentine went 1-2, Quentin Pharris went 2-3, and Reese Duhon went 1-2 with 2 RBIs.
