Louisiana Railroad Days Festival parade to roll April 12

Join us for the Louisiana Railroad Days Festival parade on Friday, Apr. 12! All are welcome to participate, so get ready to decorate your float, vehicle, or bike with the theme of the festival or a train-inspired design. There’s no entry fee, so let your creativity shine!

This is not just a parade; it’s a prime opportunity to showcase your business, community club, school clubs, athletics, and other extracurricular activities that contribute to our vibrant community. Even golf carts are invited to join in the fun.

Lineup begins at 2 p.m. on Third St., located on the south side of DeQuincy Primary School. The parade kicks off promptly at 3 p.m., proceeding towards the DeQuincy High School. LRDF Queens and bicycle riders will drop off as the parade passes the festival.

Please note, the DeQuincy Federated Service League emphasizes safety. While we encourage festive spirit, we cannot be held liable for any property or personal damage resulting from items thrown from floats or vehicles. Participants must provide proof of insurance for vehicles in the parade.

Don’t miss out on this exciting event celebrating Louisiana’s rich railroad heritage! For more information, call Janet Jordy at 337-842-5022.
