Errors hurt Tigers in loss to DeRidder
The DeQuincy Tigers began tournament play against the DeRidder Dragons on Thursday, Feb. 23.
DeRidder jumped out to an early 2-0 lead due to a couple of Tiger errors, although DeQuincy made up for it with 9 hits and taking advantage of a few DeRidder errors. The Tigers miscues proved costly in the end as DeQuincy fell to DeRidder 7-4 in extra innings.
Eagles made quick work of Tigers
DeQuincy couldn’t really get anything going offensively as Rosepine’s defense looked sharp. Offensively the Eagles put on a hit clinic and took advantage of the Tigers’ errors ultimately run ruling the Tigers in 5 innings 10-0.
Despite late rally, Buckeye holds off DeQuincy
The DeQuincy Tigers closed out the weekend against the Buckeye Panthers from Rapides Parish. The score was close a majority of the game however due to leaving too many runners on base and Buckeye having a big 5th inning plating 4 runs to take a 3 run lead. The Tigers eventually fell 5-3 to the Panthers.
