Lester Sharbino

Lester Edmond Sharbino, 64, of Starks, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2024 at his residence. He was born to his late parents, Nat and Ida Sharbino on Jan. 22, 1960 in Montgomery. Lester loved his job and work family while he worked for Patrick Ashworth Logging for over 30 years. He enjoyed, hunting, fishing, gardening, camping, and loved traveling and spending time with his family; especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 47 years, Terrie Lynn Sharbino; daughters, Salina Jones of Wurtland, Kentucky, Crystal Foster of Vinton, Lydia Keddy (Mike) of Lake Charles; brother, Nat W. Sharbino, Jr.; sisters, Betty Jo Andrews, Sheila Marie Wallace, Tammy Ann Perkins, and Mary Jane Honea; nine grandchildren, Lester Cole Sharbino, Austin Jones, Amber Foster, Lance Sharbino, Belle Foster, RaeLynn and KaeLynn Sharbino, Brennan Jones and Chloe Jones; along with three great-grandchildren and one on the way.

Lester was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Daryl Sharbino; along with his uncle, George Monteville.

A Celebration of Lester’s life was held at Hixson-Snider Funeral Home in DeQuincy, on Monday, Feb. 5, at 1 p.m., Matthew Rose officiated. Visitation was held at the funeral home on Sunday, Feb. 4, from 5 until 8 p.m. Visitation resumed at the funeral home on Monday, from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial followed at the Starks VFW Cemetery in Starks.

Services entrusted to Jordan and Amanda Mothershed of Hixson-Snider Funeral Home, 205 E. Harrison St., DeQuincy.
