On Thursday, Jan. 25, Stitch Guillory, the newly elected Sheriff of Calcasieu Parish stopped by the DeQuincy Police Dept. to visit with our DQPD Officers. In talking with our new Chief, Annajo Haynes, Sheriff-elect Guillory promised to work closely with our new administration and stated if we need anything, to call him. Both Chief Haynes and Major Bell thanked Guillory for his help in the past and for his further help when he takes over the reins as Sheriff. Shown in the photo is Chief Haynes, probably the first female Chief in Calcasieu Parish, and Chief Deputy Stitch Guillory, the first African- American to be elected Chief in Calcasieu Parish. The DQPD wishes the new Sheriff success in his new role.
