Sheila Jones was born May 4, 1967, and passed away Thursday, Dec. 21, 2023, at the age of 56.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry Jones; children, Demetrise Ceaser and husband Lindsey, Jeremy Jones and partner Harlene, and Jerry Jones Jr. and wife T’chyra; grandchildren, Isabella, Lindsey, Landon, Jamaya, Jeremy, and Jianna; and a host of siblings.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ruby and Henry Thomas; father, Melvin Sawyer; and siblings, Sharon Sawyer, Patsy Hawthorne, and Sandra McCoy.
The family will receivefriends 10-11 a.m. with a funeral service at 11 a.m., on Thursday, Dec. 28, at First Church of God in Christ in DeQuincy. Interment will follow at Paradise Cemetery in DeQuincy.
Arrangements are being handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
