Robert Price Farris passed away Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2023, at the age of 77. Robert was born Nov. 21, 1946, in McDade, Texas. He married the love of his life, Carol Sue Blackwell on Sept. 12, 1970.
He is survived by his son, Jason Farris and wife Heather; daughter, Misty Young and husband David; grandchildren, Myra, Rachel, Raleigh, Nolan, Ginger, and Tucker; and great-grandchild, Kyler. Robert is also survived by his sisters, Evelyn Wolf, Linda Saunders and husband, Glen; and brothers, Hubert and wife Lilly, Fred Farris, Curtis Farris and Douglas Farris.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol; parents, Hubert and Minnie Lee Farris; sisters, Lois Pace and Inez Haverland; and brothers, Jim Allen Farris and John Wayne Farris.
The family received friends from 10-11 a.m., the funeral service followed at 11 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 16, at The Pentecostals of Bastrop. Interment followed at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
