Calcasieu Parish Libraries
All branches and facilities of the Calcasieu Parish Public Library system will be closed for the Christmas holiday on Sunday, Dec. 24 through Tuesday, Dec. 26. Branches will reopen on Wednesday, Dec. 27.
The library will also be closed on Friday, Dec. 29, Sunday, Dec. 31, and Monday, Jan. 1 for the New Year holiday. All branches will reopen on Tuesday, Jan. 2.
Items may be renewed online at www.calcasieulibrary.org and clicking on the My Account icon at the top of the page or by using the chat feature found on the website, however no fines will be charged during the holidays.

Police Jury
All Calcasieu Parish Police Jury departments will be closed on Friday, Dec. 22 and Monday, Dec. 25, to observe the Christmas holidays. All offices will reopen on Tuesday, Dec. 26.
Waste Management will be closed on Christmas Day. As a result, pickups will be delayed one day during the week of Christmas. Call Waste Management at 337-436-7229 with any questions or visit wm.com/alerts for updates.
The Solid Waste Convenience Centers, located at 5500 B Swift Plant Road in Lake Charles and at 2915 Post Oak Road in Sulphur, will both be closed Dec. 24-25. The sites, which are normally closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays each week, will reopen on Thursday, Dec. 28.
