Donations sought for Rotary Club’s Project Care de Noel

By Jeffra Wise DeViney

As Rotary Club of DeQuincy prepares for their 3rd Annual Project Care de Noel, we would like to thank the following who have already offered support for the 2023 project to provide our local seniors a Christmas gift surprise package.

Participants thus far are: DeQuincy Police Dept., DeQuincy Memorial VFW 3802 & Auxiliary, DeQuincy News, Wise Ideas Printing & Promotions, and Sabine State Bank.

The Rotary Club needs your help! We are looking for donations from the public to source 200 gift bags to local nursing home residents for Christmas.

Wish list items include: Body soaps and wrapped soaps, books (large print), pens, pencils, scarves, hats, gloves, no-slip socks, coloring books/coloring supplies, puzzle books, Christmas window clings/unbreakable decorations, pocket kleenex, combs, Fruit of the Loom colored T’s, sweatshirts, stuffed animals or monetary donations. (Please no candy or medical items).

Items may be dropped off at DeQuincy News no later than Thursday, Dec. 14, or call Jeffra Wise DeViney at 337-912-5063 or Crystal Nix at 337-485-1583 to pledge your support.

Thanks to everyone who helps with this awesome project that warms the hearts of these beautiful souls!
