Fall Fun and Halloween Happenings

Full Life Assembly

Full Life Assembly will be having a Fall Festival, free community event. on Wednesday, Oct. 25, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. No costumes please.

There will be an 85 ft. Jurassic obstacle course, petting zoo, face painting, cake walk, games, snow cones hotdogs, drinks, popcorn and candy. There will also be Fall photo backdrop. Fun for the whole family.

The church is located at 1249 Plum St.

DeQuincy Primary

Trunk or Treat and Annual Math Night will be held at DeQuincy Primary School on Thursday, Oct. 26, from 5-6 p.m.

Students are invited to wear their Halloween costumes, nothing scary.

The school is located at 304 McNeese St.

Singer High

Singer High School will be hosting a family fun Trunk or Treat night on Thursday, Oct. 26, from 6-8 p.m. at Singer High School. There will be an author at the school to read a story to all the kids.

The school is located at 153 Hwy. 110 E.

Sam Houston Jones State Park

Sam Houston Jones State Park will be have a Trunk or Treat on Sunday, Oct. 29, from 5-7 p.m. with Here Comes Tracas, Krewe De Valhalla, and Krewe De Bien Faire. The charge is $3 per person.

Fall Fest/National Nigh Out

DeQuincy’s Annual Fall Festival & National Night Out will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 31, from 5-8 p.m., at the DeQuincy Walking Path.

The city of DeQuincy will be providing free hot dogs, chili and water. Local law enforcement and firefighters will be on hand to meet and greet with the public, give away safety information and goody bags as well as let kids “touch a truck” and interact with emergency responder vehicles.

There will be food, fun, and fellowship. This will not take the place of neighborhood trick-or-treating but is another option for parents. Regular trick-or-treating will be from 6-9 p.m. in the city limits.

Anyone who wants to to participate is welcome and needs to contact Kim Rainwater or Sherri Breaux at 337-786-8241. All organizations, churches, or groups are invited to participate and come give away candy or items to children of all ages. Limited electrical power will be available. Spaces are limited to 6-8 ft. table or 10’ x 10’ tent that will fit on either side of the Walking Path. Please be set up by 4:30 p.m.
