Sammy Ray Thibodeaux was born Mar. 2, 1971, and passed away Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2023, at the age of 52.
Survivors are his wife, Vicky Thibodeaux; children, Sara Slaydon of Santa Fe, Texas, Ronald Slaydon and wife, Candace of Santa Fe, Texas, Courtney Brewer of Rosepine, Darrin Harper of DeRidder, Jacob Tuttle and wife, Heather of San Juan Capistrano, Calif., and Coby Thibodeaux of DeRidder; grandchildren, Shelbie Husbands Fentanes and husband, Miguel, Hailie Husbands, Ronald Slaydon Jr., Noah Slaydon, Aubrey Slaydon, Ella Harper, Claire Tuttle, Jacob Tuttle Jr., and Skylar Tuttle; brothers, Jesse Thibodeaux and wife, Tina of Merryville, and Tony Thibodeaux of DeRidder; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Cirbet and Catherine Thibodeaux.
Celebration of Life was held at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 23, at Sugartown Baptist Church in Sugartown. Rev. Allen O’Kelley officiated.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be made towards the funeral service to Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W Fourth St., DeQuincy.
