Fall Fest, National Night Out set October 31

DeQuincy’s Annual Fall Festival & National Night Out will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 31, from 5-8 p.m., at the DeQuincy Walking Path.

The city of DeQuincy will be providing free hot dogs, chili and water. Local law enforcement and firefighters will be on hand to meet and greet with the public, give away safety information and goody bags as well as let kids “touch a truck” and interact with emergency responder vehicles.

There will be food, fun, and fellowship. This will not take the place of neighborhood trick-or-treating but is another option for parents. Regular trick-or-treating will be from 6-9 p.m. in the city limits.

Anyone who wants to to participate is welcome and needs to contact Kim Rainwater or Sherri Breaux at 337-786-8241. All organizations, churches, or groups are invited to participate and come give away candy or items to children of all ages. Limited electrical power will be available. Spaces are limited to 6-8 ft. table or 10’ x 10’ tent that will fit on either side of the Walking Path. Please be set up by 4:30 p.m.

The City of DeQuincy is proud to have partnered with DeQuincy Police Dept., Rotary Club of DeQuincy, DeQuincy Memorial Hospital and Visit Lake Charles Tourism.
