Recently Waste Management increased the garbage rate charged to the City of DeQuincy.
As a result of the said rate increase, DeQuincy Utilities is required to raise the rate charged to their customers by an additional $5 per Mayor Riley Smith.
It should be noted that Waste Management has increased its rated each year and the City of DeQuincy has not reflected those amounts on the DeQuincy Utility Bills. This will go into effect in the next billing cycle, due Sept. 5.
