Margaret Vincent

Margaret Mary Vincent of Sulphur was born to Joseph and Eve Duhon on July 5, 1941, and passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at the age of 82. Margaret enjoyed sewing, quilting, and gardening. She also enjoyed watching westerns and being fun loving and she always loved cutting up with her grandchildren. Church family and friends were her life.

Those left to cherish her memory are her three sons, Louie Vincent, Jr. and wife, Mildred, Stephen Vincent of Carlyss, Joshua Vincent and wife, Candice of Moss Bluff; three daughters, Sheila Oliva, Tammy Morgan, and Penny Vincent, all of Carlyss; one sister, Viola Vincent of South Carolina; one brother, Frank Duhon, Sr. of Sulphur; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Louie Vincent, Sr.; one daughter, Mary Eve Vincent; one son, Jimmy Roy Vincent; and numerous brothers and sisters.

The family received friends from 5-8 p.m. Friday, July 14, and continued from 9 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 15 at Calvary Baptist Church, 200 North Lewis St., Sulphur. Pastor Steve Avera officiated. Interment followed at Farquhar Cemetery in Carlyss.

Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
