BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS THE HOUSING AUTHORITY
CITY OF DEQUINCY,

The Board of Commissioners of the Housing Authority of the City of DeQuincy, La. met in regular session on May 9, 2023 for the following purpose:
Chairman Jerry McCaig called the meeting to order and upon roll call, those present and absent were as follows:
Present: Jerry McCaig, Lynne Treme, Tracey Brown, Carmen Iley, Shirley Bagwell
Absent: Darlene Hooker, Brenda Vige
A quorum present, the following business was transacted. The minutes from April 11, 2023 were reviewed. Tracey Brown made a motion to approve the minutes and Lynne Treme seconded. Motion carried.
The financial report for March 2023 was presented and discussed. The year-to-date actuals were compared to the year-to-date budget. Lynne Treme made a motion to approve the financial report as presented and Tracey Brown seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Investment of excess funds in the checking account was presented and discussed. Facts were presented by Jerry McCaig on the small amount of interest earned on the checking account versus the amount of interest to be earned on a CD. After much discussion, Tracey Brown made a motion to transfer funds from the checking account to a 9-month Certificate of Deposit at b1Bank. Carmen Iley seconded the motion. All approved. Motion carried. Res # 995
The installation of 4 exterior doors and storm doors on one building was presented and discussed. After discussion, everyone agreed to get several quotes on all materials for one building and present back to the Board.
The vacancy report was presented by Shirley Bagwell.
There being no further business to come before the board, the Vice-Chair thereupon declared the meeting adjourned.
