Gertrude Landry Pickles, 87, of Moss Bluff died Thursday, June 22, 2023, at J Michael Morrow Memorial nursing home in Arnaudville.
She was born in Lacassine. She worked in the banking industry for Calcasieu Marine National Bank and SW Louisiana Credit Union for many years. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Moss Bluff.
She was preceeded in death by her parents, Adam and Eda Landry; husband, Homer Pickles Sr.; daughter, Glenda Sawyer, parents, Adam and Eda Landry; and one sister.
She is survived by her daughters, Sallie Lindsay of DeRidder, Rosie Kolarik of DeRidder, and Anna Theriot of Arnaudville; sons, George Pickles of Lacassine, Tommy Pickles of Longville, and Homer Pickles, Jr. of Irving, Texas; sisters, Shirley Johnson of Hemphill, Texas, Cindy Rohrer of Sulphur; along with a host of grandchildren, step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, July 1, at Hixson Funeral Home in Moss Bluff. A graveside service was held at Magnolia Cemetery in Ragley.
