Marilyn Randol

After a lengthy battle with physical illnesses, Marilyn Darlene Randol, of Muscatine, Iowa, went to her reward on Friday, June 16, 2023, at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield, Mo. surrounded by family.

As she knew her reward was near, she never lost her faith, praise, or love for God – she remained faithful all the way to the beginning of her eternal life. She was born Oct. 25, 1957, in Anna, Ill. to Wilbur and Ruth Emery. She married Rev. Gregory W. Randol on Apr. 6, 1979.

Visitation will be 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, June 24, followed by a Celebration of Life at New Life Church 2450 US Hwy 190 West, Jasper, Texas. Rev. Darwin Burks and Rev. Michael Orange will officiate. In addition, visitation will be 2-3 p.m. Monday, June 26, followed by a Celebration of Life at Dongola Pentecostal Church, 440 N.E. Front St., Dongola, Ill. Rev. Dave Stovall and Rev. Greg Morrison will officiate. Her final resting place will be at Camp Ground Cemetery, 275 Camp Ground Rd, Anna, Ill., right across the lane from where her life began.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her infant brother, Dennis Emery; her sister, Janice Smith; in-laws, Rev. Doyle W. Randol and Alma L. Randol; brother-in-law, Terry Randol; and nephew, Derick Teague.

Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Gregory W. Randol; children, Alicia (Rev. Steven) Brown, Rev. Joshua (Gina) Randol. She is the loved Lottie to her grandchildren, Shaelin (Calvin – Collin) Wolfe, Emery Brown, Madilyn Brown, Riley Brown, Briceston (Mary) Randol, Eli Randol, Harrison Randol, Sebastian Randol; great-grandchildren, Divinity Randol and Tatum Wolfe; sister, Karen (Jim) Vaughn; brother-in-law, Bill Smith; brother/sister-in-laws, Clark and Vicki Daniels, Rev. Gary and Cindy Teague, Nancy Randol, and Rev. Gary and Mindy Randol; many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews, as well as many friends from across the country.
