David Dunham

David “Red” Ervin Dunham, 74, of DeQuincy, passed away on Monday, May 29, 2023 at his residence. He was born to his late parents, Mike and Bessie Mae Dunham on Sept. 14, 1948 in DeQuincy. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his earlier years. Red also spent 43 years at Brookshire Brothers as a Butcher. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He loved his nieces, nephews, and uncle Ike very much.

He is survived by his siblings, Lindsey Dunham, Robert Lewis Dunham, Rod Lucius, Daniel Clancy, Michael Fruge, Michael Dunham, Edith Dickerson, Betty Perkins, Gloria Faye Dunham, Bess Marie Estes, Debbie Doucet, and Daisy Dunham.

Red was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Eugene Dunham and Delores Dunham.

A Celebration of Red’s life will be held at Hixson-Snider Funeral Home on Friday, June 2, at 6 p.m. Visitation will begin prior to the service on Friday, from 5 p.m. until the time of the service.
