DeQuincy vs. Lake Arthur

Sammy Maddox shut down Lake Arthur by throwing a complete game shutout and leading the DeQuincy Tigers to a 12-0 victory on Tuesday.

DeQuincy secured the victory thanks to eight runs in the first inning. DeQuincy big bats were led by Reese Ashworth, Quentin Pharris, Turner Rodriquez, Ashworth, and Andrew Dowden, who all drove in runs.

DeQuincy got things started in the first inning when Ashworth hit a solo homer.

Maddox got the win for DeQuincy. The righthander went four and two-thirds innings, allowing zero runs on one hit, striking out two and walking zero.

Ashworth led the Tigers with two hits in three at bats. DeQuincy stole seven bases during the game. Pharris led the way with two steals.

Donnelly went 1-for-2 at the plate to lead Lake Arthur in hits.

DeQuincy vs. Welsh

DeQuincy Tigers beat Welsh Greyhounds 4-1 on Monday.

DeQuincy got things started in the first inning when Carson Rainwater doubled on a 1-0 count which scored one run.

Reese Ashworth was the winning pitcher for the Tigers. He allowed five hits and one run over six and two-thirds innings, striking out 14.

Sammy Maddox threw one-third of an inning in relief out of the bullpen.

DeQuincy collected seven hits. Rainwater and Maddox each had two hits for the Tigers.

Janise went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Welsh Varsity Greyhounds in hits.
