Singer vs. Lake Arthur

Singer Hornets fall to Lake Arthur after a sixth inning score.

Singer stayed in it until the end, but Lake Arthur pulled away late in a 6-5 victory last Monday. The game was tied at three with Lake Arthur batting in the bottom of the sixth when Tate Abshire singled on a 1-1 count which scored one run.

Singer lost despite out-hitting Lake Arthur five to four.

Singer got things moving in the first inning, when Caston Perkins doubled on a 3-1 count, scoring two runs.

In the top of the seventh inning, Singer tied things up at five. Gavin Wright grounded out, scoring one run.

Lake Arthur scored three runs in the sixth inning.

Dylan Conner was on the hill for Singer. Conner went six innings, allowing five runs on four hits, striking out three and walking one.

Perkins led Singer with two hits in four at bats.

Singer vs. Starks

Two Singer Hornets pitchers combine to shutout Starks.

Singer defeated Starks 11-0 on Tuesday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Kohlson Moore got a groundout from Layne Simon to finish off the game.

Singer fired up the offense in the first inning.

Caston Perkins drew a walk, scoring one run.

A single by Ben Crisp in the second inning was a positive for Starks.

Perkins toed the rubber for Singer. The bulldog allowed zero hits and zero runs over one inning, striking out one and walking one.

Max Crisp was on the pitcher’s mound for Starks. The pitcher allowed four hits and nine runs over four innings, striking out two.

Kaison Howard threw one inning out of the bullpen.

Gavin Wright, Perkins, Dawson Roebuck, Moore, and Gunner Franks each managed one hit to lead Singer. Singer stole 13 bases during the game as four players stole more than one. Moore led the way with four.

Singer vs. Starks

Singer beats Starks by ten runs.

Singer blew out Starks 12-2 on Tuesday.

Kolten Royer toed the rubber for Singer. The ace went six innings, allowing two runs on eight hits, striking out seven and walking one.

Cody Harrison started the game for Starks. Harrison allowed six hits and 11 runs over five innings, striking out four.

Singer scattered eight hits in the game. Caston Perkins and Gavin Wright each had 2 hits to lead Singer.

As a team Singer stole six bases during the game, Dylan Conner led the way with two.

Trent Smith went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Starks in hits.
