Charlotte Webre

Charlotte White Webre was born Oct. 7, 1942 in Cottenport and passed away Wednesday, Mar. 29, 2023 in Sulphur at the age of 80.

She was a member of the First United Pentecostal Church of DeQuincy. Charlotte enjoyed coloring, painting, embroidery, and singing. She loved helping anyone that needed a ride to their doctor appointments or shopping. Everyone who knew Charlotte knew she loved anything western, especially John Wayne. Charlotte was a faithful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and daughter. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her son, Roy Joseph Webre, III and fiance’, Jodi Dickerson; daughter, Becky Fowler; grandchildren, Nichole Fowler, Sarah Smith and husband, Cameron, Elizabeth Fowler, Destin Webre, Hannah Manasco and Hunni Manasco; and sister, Ida Mae Horn.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Joseph Webre, Jr.; son-in-law, John Fowler; and parents, Ridgeway and Ida Mae White.

A special thank you to High Hope Care Center and Brighten Bridge Hospice for all their love and care, as well as First United Pentecostal Church in DeQuincy and Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home.

The family received friends from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Mar. 30 at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home in DeQuincy. Visitation resumed from 1 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. Friday, Mar. 31 at First United Pentecostal Church, 230 Smith St., DeQuincy. Pastor Carlton Jackson, Jr. officiated. Interment followed at Hyatt Cemetery in Fields.

Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
