Audrey L. Gibson of Orange, Texas, was born Dec. 26, 1944, and passed away Friday, Mar. 31, 2023, at the age of 78.
She is survived by her husband, Larry L Gibson, Sr.; children, Michael Wilson and Herbie Wilson; stepchildren, Lynell Gibson and wife, Sharon, Rev. Alfred Gibson and wife, Denise, Trish Eddleman and husband, Troy, Rebecca McPherson and husband Jerry and Jesse Tompkins along with numerous grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She is also survived by her sister, Judy Wilbur.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Tex and Wanda Wilbur; biological father, Jerry Sharp; children, Steve Wilson and Joseph Wilson; siblings, Lester Wilbur, Wayne Wilbur, Ronnie Sharp and Theresa Martin.
The family received friends from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, Apr. 4, and the funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Apr. 5. The visitation and funeral will be held at First Pentecostal Church, 225 Hwy. 109 S., Starks. Pastor Karl Smith and Rev. Alfred Gibson will be officiating. Interment will follow at Fountain Cemetery in Starks.
Arrangements are being handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
