Larry Joe Maddox was born Jan. 10, 1952, and passed away Friday, Mar. 24, 2023 at the age of 71.
Larry was a fan of LSU and the New Orleans Saints. He enjoyed fishing, cooking, and watching Nascar. Larry was well traveled and even lived in China for a short time. He was a Master Mason, Shriner, and a member of the Eastern Star. Most of all he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Jeanette Maddox; children, Sondra Vincent, Brandy Boyne and husband, Eric, Casey Jo Trahan and husband, Joshua, Brandon Maddox and wife, Donell; grandchildren, Michael, Mathew, Victoria, Cameron, Kenzie, Tobi, Emma, Norah, Charlie; great-grandchild, Phoenix; sister, Brenda Whitman and husband, Michael; and brothers, Steve Maddox and Rueben Maddox.
He was preceded in death by his grandchild, Donald James Maddox; mom and dad, Margie Sally and Charlie Gray; father, Curtis Maddox; brothers, Kennon Wayne Maddox and Charles Gray, III.
The family received friends from 3-6 p.m. Sunday, Mar. 26 with the service to beginning at 6 p.m. at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home in DeQuincy. Bro. Rod Treme and Bro. Eddie Hoosier officiated.
Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
