Linnard M. Alston was born Feb. 27, 1933, and passed away Tuesday, Mar. 7, 2023, at the age of 90. He served in the United States Army. Linnard was a member of Longville Pentecostal Church.
He is survived by his son, Randy Alston; granddaughters, Anna Alston and Sarah Orms and husband, Rev. Trent Orms; sister, Ruby Bingham; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Rena Alston; second wife, Birdie Alston; daughter-in-law, Karen Alston; and siblings, John Alston, Linny Alston, Jean Myers, and Mae Benham.
A graveside service was held at 10 a.m., Friday, Mar. 10, at Alston Cemetery in DeQuincy with Rev. Larry Talent and Rev. Alfred Gibson officiating.
Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
