Darlene Babineaux

Darlene Mouton Babineaux was born May 25, 1940, and passed away Monday, Mar. 6, 2023, at the age of 82.

She was the daughter of Betty Wallace and Charles Bale and was born in Detroit, Michigan. She moved to Texas at the age of 16. Darlene worked at Equitable Bag for over 25 years, and she also worked at Orange Pump & Valve for seven years.

She loved her family dearly. Darlene loved traveling and went many times to New Mexico to see the Hot Air Balloon Fest and traveled to Branson, Missouri. She loved to dance, so she joined a square-dancing group.

She is survived by her children, Bonnie Mouton, Cindy Mouton Graves (Steve), and Bobby Mouton (Alicia); grandchildren, Stormy Clark, Brittany Carter (Robby), Brandon Welch (Aubrey), Kylie Mouton, Azlyn Mouton, Keisha Babineaux Luna, and Holly Babineaux; great-grandchildren; Ravem Clark, Quest Carmack, Kadyn Carmack, Eli Darwin, Carter Hughes, Lane Carter, Hattie Carter, Ridge Carter, Livv Welch, and Navvy Welch, due in July; great-great grandchildren, Kyler Clark, Alister Lee, and Abel Carmack; and sister, Charlotte Wallace Clark.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Babineaux; grandson, James “Lil Jimmy” Clark; parents, Betty Wallace and Charles Bale; sister, Bonnie Jean Bale; brothers, Charles “Chuck” Bale, Wayne Bale, and Charlie Wallace.

Cremation was entrusted to Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
