Tyrel “Ty” Thompson was born Nov. 30, 1981, and passed away Saturday, Feb. 25, 2023, at the age of 41.
He is survived by the love of his life, Becky Thompson; his children that were his world, Jadon Thompson and wife, Talley, Jude Thompson, and Orrin Thompson; grandchild, Dane Thompson; siblings, Toni Wilson, Shane Rose, and Chris Lanthier; mother, Pearl Goode Thompson of Singer; father, Johnny M. Thompson and wife, Lisa; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Stanley and Sue Smith; cousin, Jill Thompson; and his amazing work family.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Jon Koley Thompson; grandparents, J. D. Goode and Regina Goode, D. J. Thompson and Betty Jo Robertson; uncle, David Preston Thompson; and his cousins, Josie Thompson and Susan Rae Thompson.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Friday, Mar. 3 with the funeral service beginning at 11 a.m. Saturday, Mar. 4 at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home in DeQuincy. Rev. Mike Streams will be officiating.
Arrangements are being handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
