Jack Lee “Jackie” Pool, 70, of Merryville died on Thursday, Feb. 23, 2023.
He was born in Waynesboro, Miss. He attended DeQuincy Elementary and DeQuincy High School.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie Pool of Merryville; children, Jennifer Langton and Jay Langton of DeQuincy, Lacy Hebert and Brandon Hebert of Longville, Shelley Pool and Ty Yellott of DeQuincy, Tessa Kancharla and Chaitanya Kancharla of Beaumont, Texas, Cheyenne Williams and Robby Williams of Merryville, Jeffery Pool of Eunice, Allyson Wiggins and Shane Wiggins of Lafayette; sisters, Sue Anderson and Richard Anderson of Sulphur, Sonja Tramonte and Mark Tramonte of Lake Charles; 14 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Irma Jean Pool and Woodie and Dorothy Doherty; brother, Herman Pool; and sister, Jane Doherty.
Funeral services were held Monday, Feb. 27, at 1 p.m. at Green Oak Baptist Church in Merryville. Joey Franks officiated the service. Burial followed at Bivens Cemetery in Merryville.
