Thomas Berwick was born Nov. 7, 1969, and passed away Sunday, Feb. 19, 2023, at the age of 53.
He enjoyed fishing and playing the guitar. In his younger years he enjoyed riding horses. He loved spending time with his family and had a special love for his mother. Thomas proudly served in the United States Navy and fought in the Gulf War on the USS Biddle. He was the current Adjutant of the Starks VFW Post 4759.
He is survived by his children, Joey Berwick and wife, Angel, Dylan Berwick and fiance, Lindsay, Noah Berwick, Drayton Berwick; grandchildren, Carlos, Natalia, Alonso, Nate, Dakota, Kolsyn; father, Samuel Berwick; brother, Chris Berwick and wife, Melinda; nieces, Callie Doucet and husband, Lucas, Sarah Istre and husband, Tommy; and his great nephew, Weston Doucet.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Catherine Berwick; and siblings, Joseph and Faith Berwick.
The family received friends from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21, and continues from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22, with the funeral service beginning at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church, located at 128 Hwy. 109 S., Starks. Pastor Ron Butler will be officiating. Interment will follow at Fountain Cemetery in Starks.
Arrangements are being handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
