Oliver “Ibow” Fontenot, 72, died on Monday, Feb. 6, 2023, in DeQuincy.
A lifelong resident of DeQuincy, he was a member of Evergreen Baptist Church.
He is survived by his daughters, Kimberly Patrick, Teresa Fontenot (Deroun) Bilbo, and Nina Fontenot; sisters, Beatrice Fontenot Sweazie and Vera Fontenot Johnson; brothers, Charles and Phillip Fontenot; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Edna Fontenot; one sister,; and three brothers.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 18, at Evergreen Baptist Church in DeQuincy. Pastor James Harris officiated. Burial was in Community Cemetery in DeQuincy under the direction of James Funeral Home.
