Walter Dennis-Joseph Rutkowski, 78, of DeQuincy passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2023 at his residence. He was born to his late parents, Walter and Mildred Rutkowski on May 31, 1944 in West Allis, Wis. He loved electronics, especially working on the computer. In his early years, he was a race car driver and as a hobby, he loved working on cars.
He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 39 years, Sylvia Rutkowski; two daughters, Debra Gindorf of Nashville, Tennessee and Dawn Kleinmark (Bill) of Kenosha, Wis.; two grandchildren, Dona and Lisa; three great-grandchildren, Caydence, Nathan, and Bryce; along with one great-great-grandson, Jaxson.
Walter was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, John Taylor Rutkowski; one grandson, Jason; and one granddaughter, Christina.
A Celebration of Walter’s life will be held at a later date.
Services entrusted to Jordan and Amanda Mothershed with Hixson-Snider Funeral Home, 205 E. Harrison St., DeQuincy.
