Homer Ray Hyatt was born Jan. 25, 1939, and passed away Saturday, Jan. 28, 2023, at the age of 84.
Homer served his country in the United States Air Force. He owned and operated HRH Co Inc. He also loved farming but most of all he loved to be with his family. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife, Lorraine Hyatt; children, Gregory Ray Hyatt, Gary L. Hyatt, and Stephen Grissom and wife, Tricia; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and his sisters, Linda Richard and Sue Wolf.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willy and Barbara Hyatt; and brothers, Elton Hyatt, Prentice Hyatt, David Hyatt, and Michael Hyatt.
The family received friends from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. with the funeral service to follow at 1 p.m., Monday, Jan. 30, at First Baptist Church in Starks. Pastor Ron Butler officiated. Interment followed at Hyatt Cemetery in Fields.
Arrangements were held by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. 4th Street, DeQuincy.
