Thomas Larry Bright was born Sept. 8, 1940, and passed away Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2022, at the age of 82. He loved the Lord and was a faithful member of Lighthouse Tabernacle in Sulphur. Thomas proudly served in the United States Army. He enjoyed being outdoors and shooting guns. He loved tanks and heavy artillery. Thomas loved being with his family and his dog, Mocha.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Frances Bright; children, Tracie Christine Granger, Judy Bright-English and husband, Patrick, Eva Marie Hembree and husband, Howard, Rebecca Bright, and Amanda Rambo and husband, Matthew; 11 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; sister, Mickie Allison; and brothers, Roy Dan “Whitey” McGuire and wife, Tammy, and Randy McGuire.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence Bright and Vivian McGuire; and numerous siblings.
The family received friends from 9-11 a.m. with a memorial service to follow at 11 Monday, Dec. 19, at Lighthouse Tabernacle in Sulphur. Pastor Paul Upton officiated.
Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. 4th Street, DeQuincy.
