Michael Paul Guglielmo aka “Gug” or “Magic Mike,” 67, of Lake Charles was born July 22, 1955 and passed away Saturday, Dec. 10, 2022.
Those who knew Mike would describe him as the life of the party! He loved to entertain anyone he came across whether it was telling jokes, performing a magic trick, or leaving lasting impressions with his musical knowledge and skills, or his rocking guitar sessions. He was an extremely hard worker who was passionate about his carpentry work, and was meticulous about any project he worked on. Anyone who met him will always have a story about his magic tricks, pranks, or crazy antics that always left a memorable impression. He was incredibly wise and intelligent about a wide array of topics, and could always relate to anyone. He loved the Lord, his children and his grandchild with all his heart, and will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his children, Angela Guglielmo, Joseph Guglielmo and wife, Stephanie; grandchild, Austin Guglielmo; siblings, Jules Guglielmo, Jr., Linda Denham and husband, Fuqua O., Susan Renee Guglielmo, Gregory Guglielmo; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jules Guglielmo Sr. and Vera Guglielmo.
A private memorial service will be held by his children. Post-death services have been entrusted to Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W Fourth Street, DeQuincy.
