Charles R. McCarty was born Apr. 2, 1939 and passed away Sunday, Dec. 18, 2022 at the age of 83.
He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Johnson McCarty; son, Richard McCarty; daughters, Chandra Cravens and Shelly Long; grandchildren, Alissa, Alexis, Allen, Reya and Nyla along with his honorary daughters, Miriam Clark and Tanya Baumgartner.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rush McCarty and Annie McCarty and three siblings.
Visitation will be held from 12-1 p.m. with the funeral service beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 22, at Conroe Church with interment to follow at Garden Park Cemetery.
Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. 4th Street, DeQuincy.
