Margaret Hext Henderson, 88, was born Mar. 15, 1934 and passed away Monday, Dec. 5, 2022.
She is survived by her children, Sara Betsy Collins and husband, Edward, John R. Callaway and wife, Michelle, Penny Christian and husband, James; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; siblings, Rev. Jerry Hext and wife, Chris, Robbie Clark, Joel Hext and wife, Cindy, and Joy Fontenot; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dean Henderson; son, James Callaway; parents, Robert and Sarah Hext; siblings, Carl Hext, Pauline Yarbarough, Esther Mooney, R.C. Hext, Sr., and Ollie Faye Pickering.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 7, at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 8, at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home in DeQuincy. Rev. Jerry Hext and Mr. James Christian will be officiating. Interment to follow at RS Farmer Memorial Cemetery in Silsbee, Texas.
Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. 4th Street, DeQuincy.
